Agency History

Reynolds Insurance, Inc. is a successor agency to the Paul Wunchman Agency which opened its doors in 1882. Mr. Wunchman operated the agency until 1929 when he sold it to Carl Bishop. Over the years Mr. Bishop joined forces with LeRoy Manual and William Hunker to form Bishop, Manual and Hunker, Inc. which operated in Santa Fe under the same ownership until 1973. At that time Ransom Reynolds, who had joined the agency in 1970, purchased the business. The Agency has been operated for the last 30 plus years under the name Reynolds Insurance, Inc.

In 1998, Mr. Reynolds formed Reynolds Financial Services, Inc. to offer health, life, disability and related insurance products to the clients of Reynolds Insurance.

Reynolds Insurance, Inc. is a Cornerstone Agent of the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies and an Elite Agency with American Hallmark Insurance Company. Other companies and brokerages represented are MetLife Auto and Home, Kemper Auto and Home, S.Paul/Travelers, Fireman's Fund, Markel Insurance Company, New Mexico Mutual Casualty Company, Progressive Insurance, Safeco Insurance, Risk Placement Service, Zurich Small Business, and Hartford Insurance.
